Kentucky Commits to Embarking on Domestic Violence-Focused Justice Reinvestment Initiative

On November 16, 2023, Governor Andy Beshear announced that Kentucky would be partnering with The Council of State Governments Justice Center to analyze data on domestic violence in the commonwealth and recommend policy improvements.
Kentucky has the second-highest rate of domestic violence (DV) and intimate partner violence (IPV) in the country with nearly half of all women and over a third of all men in the commonwealth experiencing IPV in their lifetimes.
