JRI States
To date, 44 states have used the Justice Reinvestment Initiative (JRI) process to improve policies and practices. From 2008 to 2010, The Pew Charitable Trusts supported JRI, and from 2010 to the present, BJA has funded JRI through a congressional appropriation. Pew and Arnold Ventures have provided additional support in various states.
